Surface Technology achieves Global Automotive Supplier Standard
Surface Technology plants in Coventry, England, and Dalian, China, have both successfully achieved Atotech Automotive Applicator (AAA) certification. This identifies to automotive OEM’s and Tier 1 manufacturers that Surface Technology is an approved supplier, capable of applying Atotech products to the highest global automotive standards.
Atotech, a world leading supplier of speciality chemicals for electronics and surface finishing, developed its Triple ‘A’ programme to ensure that the quality requirements of the global automotive industry supply chain are maintained by surface finishing suppliers.
The Surface Technology, Coventry, accreditation follows ASTEC in Dalian, China, a Surface Technology company, which became the first ever AAA certified programme member in China in 2011.
Within the programme, Atotech offers training and technical support to provide plating companies with in-depth knowledge of Atotech’s plating processes. The AAA certification confirms that the overall production performance of Surface Technology has been audited to meet global automotive quality requirements for the application of a range of zinc nickel and zinc alloy plating processes.
